Treatments

Many sight-threatening diseases exist that negatively affect the retina and vitreous; however, medical advances over the last 20 years have created successful treatment options for these conditions.  These include eye drops, pills, injections, laser, freezing, and a variety of surgical procedures.  Depending on your diagnosis and the severity, your retina specialist will recommend a treatment plan for the management of your condition.

Make sure to see your eye care professional on a regular basis.  Many ocular diseases can begin painless and be asymptomatic.
